Help 8.5 month dd suffers badly with wind just at night

my 8.5 month old dd seems to suffer terribly from wind at night. she takes 7 floz from the bottle at 6.30, normally falls asleep whilst drinking or settles herself within 15 mins if awake when put down. She then wakes 30 mins or an hour later sometimes screaming, or distressed crying.... rub her back and a couple of noises later from her bottom and she goes back to sleep, only to wake again 2 hours later, ditto, rub her back or pick her up to settle and she "winds" again... and so on and soforth into the night - sometimes every 2 - 3 hours!
Should a baby have time to digest milk before going to bed??? I don't want to let her play and get stimulated before sleeping and she's normally so tired anyway... does anyone have any tips/ideas/similar problems??
Ps. have tried changing her milk - no avail.

I'm obsessed with getting DS wind up (or out). He normally has about 9oz at 6.30pm and I will spend a good 20mins winding him. Even then when he goes down he will cry out in pain so I'll get him up again and put him over my legs and rub his back until something comes up - this does the trick and then we're off duty until the next morning (unless he's rolled over and smacked his head off the cot bar!)
That's the only advise I can give I'm afraid - hope it's of some help.

Solar ABCdophilus is definatly worth trying. it will help baby digest milk properly, and improve digestion in general. makes it easy for wind to come out (both ends!). you get it from a health shop or online. it comes in a powder you add to bottle. we have found it fantastic. (i own a health shop if you want any more advice on it)

Has change of formula made any difference? Many babies who cannot tolerate regular formula get on fine with Nanny formula.

have a look at the thread on "coliky crying babies support"...even though some of this will be irrelevant, a lot of this info will help you
