So my lo is 21 months. She has always woken by 6 then kinda chatted and dozed till 7.she was sleeping till 6 but in the last week without fail 5.30 is the time. I go in a couple of times and generally she goes quiet for half hour or so. Next week we ate going to stay at a friend's. We are sharing a room. Any tips for the early mornings as i cant just close the door haha. I feel i might go mad. She obviously is still tired as does go bk to sleep but when im in the room who knows. Its even more awkward coz i wont really no what to do in someone elses house that early. The rooms dark she goes to bed between 6.30 and 7 no problem. I make it later it makes bo difference. She also still naps but needs it and happierly goes most of the time. Thanks.x

When I am stuck in this situation at someone else's house and don't want to do downstairs and wake everyone I plan ahead. Have water in a non-spill cup and a non-messy breakfast snack beside the bed and an iPad loaded with a favourite film with volume and brightness turned down low. When they wake, pull toddler into bed with you and give them all of the above. The novelty should buy you a fair bit extra snoozing time!

And have nappy essentials beside you on floor. Hopefully no other need to leave room (unless you need a wee!)
