Hi there,
I'm just asking if it's alright for my 3 month old baby to sleep in a travel cot?
I'm saying No but my partner & parents are yes it's fine..
Advice needed.
Thank you Smile

There is nothing dangerous about a newborn sleeping in a travel cot.

The base is low, so putting a baby in it lying down is tricky. And the matresss is thin and uncomfortable. But its doable if needs-must.

Its fine. Why does it bother you? There are crib sized ones on the market if you're worried about it being too big.

Yes it is absolutely fine. Our DS has been in a travel cot from 3 til 22 months . We bought a proper mattress for it though. We left him in it for so long as he was very comfortable and convenient ( always in his own bed when we travelled)

What does your baby sleep in at home? At 3 months my babies still slept in a Moses basket so I just took that wherever we went. Didn't go in a travel cot until about 5 months when outgrew a Moses basket.
My SIL bought a Sleepyhead and her 3 month old sleeps in that at home and when travelling.
Some travel cots are huge, but if you don't mind the expense, get a baby bjorn travel cot - it's smaller and cosier for a young baby.

Yeah it's perfectly fine. You can get ones with a bassinet so it's not too low to put them in (I have a joie one like this). We also bought an extra mattress as the one that came with it is extremely thin.

Thank you everyone for the advice. The reason being is because my 3 month old baby has out grown her Moses basket and I'm wary of putting her into a travel cot when down my parents house staying over.
