How long to let 14 week old nap?

Just that really. LO has taken to having a long morning nap which suits me v well, but I wonder if I should wake him after 2 hrs? He's currently asleep at 2 hrs 15 mins. He often wakes naturally after two hours, but has been sleeping for longer recently. He has a small top up feed before his nap, so won't wake from hunger for a while yet.

The main concern I have is that he understands that during the day we nap, and at night we have long stretches. He is a good night sleeper by the way. Also don't want it to ruin naps later in the day.

TIA for help!

By the way, I know this is a champagne problem. A few weeks ago I'd never have believed I would be writing this post, as he was a terrible napper. Thankfully got it sorted though!

I wouldn't wake no.
At that age id focus on awake time between sleeps rather than by the clock time naps .
Let them sleep . More sleep is better

Let him sleep. DC2 was a big napper (2 x 3hr naps a day at the same age) and he naturally shortened them over time. During awake times try and get outside or play rolling around on the floor so he is active. He will wake if hungry and is busy growing whilst asleep. Enjoy the quiet and look after yourself Smile

Thanks! That's my instinct too. I assume if he's sleeping that long then he needs it! He woke up by himself after 2.5 hours. He's also eating like a trooper at the moment, so I think it's a growth spurt.

I would follow baby's lead with nap lengths until around 6 months old (give or take). Just adjust awake time according to naps, so a 2h30m nap can have a much longer 2-3h awake time afterwards.
