Waking for feeds at 5 months, won't take bottle as hungrily during the day

Hi, my bottle fed dd 5 months can frequently take or leave her day bottles, but always takes it very well when given it during the night. She wakes any time between 12am and 1am, will take 6 oz. usually wakes again anytime between 3 and 4.30. I've tried not to give her a bottle then but if i do she drinks around 4/5 oz.
Then when it's morning time 7ish onwards she isn't interested in her bottle, and it's a struggle to get her to drink a full one. This continues for most of her subsequent feeds but I do offer her a bottle obviously, usually at 3 or 4 hour intervals. The night wakings are driving me round the bend. Help! She is around 14 pounds now. Wind was also a problem which does seem to have settled now. Any help

Do you have another way of getting baby to sleep that isn't feeding? A dummy for example. How do you get baby to sleep at bedtime and for nap times?

Thanks for your response Fate: usually use a dummy or white noise.

Have you tried waking and feeding her when you go to bed? That at least cuts down one of the feeds you need to wake for.

Then I would try to avoid feeding at any subsequent wake ups after that. At 5 months i wouldn't flat refuse a middle of the night feed, baby is a bit too young for that. But i would be consistent with trying to resettle with other means (dummy and in-cot settling if it was me) first, offering a feed only if nothing else was working.

Then try your best to get as many extra calories into baby during the daytime. I found that making feeds closer to better was more effective than making each feed bigger.

I would wake her at 10.30 in order to try and break the habit! Two bottles at five months in the night is hard going!'n

I know, I'm like a zombie! I actually fed her at 11ish last night; she was still half asleep, then settled back and that was her until 3.30 so think I will try that again. I did think to give more frequent feeds during day but she just doesn't take them. It's a battle for most of her day feeds, then at night she takes them fine. She was also quite windy and health visitor suggested longer gaps between feeds rather than snacking.
Wonder if she's over stimulated during the day feeds. I have a 5 year old too zooming about so she is always watching him when he's here!
