She is overtired if she is awake most of the day and only sleeping a bit at night. What's her routine like for eating and sleeping?

ineedwine99 · 10/05/2017 15:53

Are there any other symptoms? Tensing body/sicky/wet sounding hiccups, seeming hungry but pulling away from food/constipated?
Only asking as to whether it could be reflux/milk allergy/intolerance
Has she always been like it? If so maybe she needs to see a GP.
No hairs or anything wrapped around a toe or finger?

Oh god, some babies are just misery guts. My 3rd was like this and just eventually grew out of it around 9 months when she started walking and communicating better. Could never find anything majorly wrong. She's still the most decisive and determined if the lot! Hang in there, if you've done everything to make her comfortable try not to let it get to you!

Just one hint, if she has a crazy runny nose, even with no temp, could be ears. That makes them very upset with the pain ....but Calpol would fix that temporarily.

She's never had a cold.. she will sit for about 3mins and laugh n get bored n start

I try put her in her bouncer in front of fully open window with a rusk n she will stay quiet until it's finished

Does she sleep during the daytime?

LapinR0se · 10/05/2017 16:01

I can't really understand your post with the routine.
She was waking at 10 for the day? And what time was her next nap?
I would stay away from rusks as they are full of sugar and gravy is also not good as it is full of salt

user1486273640 · 10/05/2017 16:04

And right now she is nappy having to
Be rocked n she wakes up from them naps crying ? N she was having 4naps a day for like 30 mins I'm not counting how long these naps are as I'm sleeping too

She's had 4naps so far she's having lots of nap now I think short ones

Please could you type out your routine, as it is now.

Rocking to sleep is a problem - baby wants to go to sleep where she will stay asleep.

Calorie intake may also be an issue - the goods described do not cover many food groups, baby may need more milk if diet is limited.

What is baby's tempriment like at awake times?

user1486273640 · 10/05/2017 17:22

There's not really any routine right now anything is happening is hard to explain that

OP posts:
user1486273640 · 10/05/2017 17:22

She seems angry and upset when she is awake

OP posts:
FATEdestiny · 10/05/2017 19:25

Then I would create a routine. For now that could be:

7am - set alarm and wake her
7.30am - milk
8.30am - breakfast
9am - nap

9.30am - milk upon waking
11am - snack if needed
11.30am - nap

12pm - milk upon waking
1.30pm - lunch
2pm - nap

2.30pm - milk upon waking
5pm - dinner
4.30pm - nap

5pm - milk upon waking
7pm - supper if needed and milk
8pm - bedtime

Include all food groups in your meals, high calorie foods - include fruit, veg, meat, eggs, dairy as well as carbs.

It may be that if naps are longer that there is longer awake time so only 3 naps per day, not four.
