this is really confsing me...

DD is now 6.5 months and I have put her to bed at 6:30 and she gets up at 6AM..not bad...12 hr sleep with a bottle at 11 then at 6 when she wakes up...
then it started we put her to bed a bit later at 7-7:30 ish and still up at 6 am with samme bottle at 11.
then she stopped waking up at 11 for a bottle and wanted it at 1 or 2am and still up again at or 6 for a bottle.
THEN we tried 8:30ish to get her to lay in a bit and the same up ay 2ish for feed then up at 6.
I think shes hungry and might be why shes up but she wont take her solids...only fruit.. what is a mum to do??

my kids are 2 and 6 and still get up at 6am. I'm afraid it's just part of the joys of being a mum

bugger i missed the 2am bit have you tried offering her water when she wakes?

my dd is 4.5 now and, in total contrast, has never had a consistent waking up time. It can be anywhere from 6.30am to 9.45am (at the weekend obviously!). She goes to bed between 7.30-8pm every night. I've never ever found out what it is that makes her wake up independently at, say 7.30am one morning, and have to be prodded and shaken awake the next.

Oh yes, and she was the same as a baby.

6.5 months I wouldn't worry about solids too much, she will get more calories from milk. I'd just go with it and give her milk in the night as she's still so young, I wouldn't offer water. At her age the solids are more for taste than anything and her main source of calories will be milk. If she's hungry then milk is what she needs at that age not more solids.

My ds1 is 3.5 and gets up 5-6am every day, it's just the way he is.

Thanks for you help everyone. se went to bed st 6:30 tonight we'll see what happens. I thought there coud be somthing I could do about it, but, lets hope in the future she stars to take after dad and lay in till the double digits, hehe.

Also the weaning tip, thanks a bunch, i was also worrying that she wasnt catching on to the idea of eating and I thought i was failing huge time at it.
