I'd love to have a good night rhyme with my son that I can say to him when I put him in bed. He's 18 months old. Any suggestions?

Actually, I tell a lie there. It's not Taps. It's Brownie Bells. Sang to the tune of Auld Lang Syne at the end of every Brownie meeting.

DS1 and DD we say "night night, love you, see you in the morning" with a kiss and a cuddle. DS2 we sign it.

Usually look round DS's door and tell him not to have the telly on all night, then say night night love you lots like jelly tots. He's says love you more than the floor. And that's it.

Said together: Night night, sweet dreams, see you in the morning, see you later alligator, I love you!

Followed by lots of kisses.

Then as I leave;

DS: see you later alligator.
Me: in a while smellypoo!

If DP puts him to bed we do the same thing after "2" minutes cuddle with mummy before he goes upstairs with DP . Then DP repeats the whole night night thing except he says: in a while crocodile.

Night night sleep tight, love you.

if I catch you with that phone in bed Tonight I'll break it with a hammer

Goodnight, love you to the moon and back.

ShuttyTown · 15/04/2017 19:24

We say
'goodnight' (son (4) then repeats)
'Bon Nuit'
'Arrivderci'
'Bonsoir'

He thinks it's hilarious 😂
