As above really. 2 yo has been having 1 hour naps for a while which can't go later than 2pm or 2.30 absolute latest wake or she takes an age to go to sleep and her bedtime is already 7.45 and asleep for 8 (wake up 6.30). She has always needed the lower end of the spectrum sleep wise but recently it has been a real struggle to get her down for naps although nursery say she still goes down for her 1 hour fine there. Am I clutching at straws to hope it might be a phase? Was seriously hoping to have at least a couple of months when both DC were napping as DC2 due end of March. Am so shattered today but mainly just desperate for the mental break that midday nap allows.

Anyone care to share their stories of surviving the newborn phase with a non napping 2.4 yo to entertain??!

I'm so envious of those whos kids do 2 hour naps, my 2 year old has only ever done 30mins to an hour maximum whilst at home (including car rides). At daycare he does 1.5hours. Sometimes I wonder if they make up the sleep times.

Dd was 2.8 when ds was born and had dropped her nap at 2.3. It really wasn't a big deal- if I needed the time she would watch peppa for an hour instead

19 month age gap here, ds1 is having one or two day a week with no nap, and will otherwise only nap in the pram or car. So far, in three months, two synchronised naps in the house.

I'm pregnant with DC2 - due in August - and I have a three year old who still thankfully naps for two hours after his lunch. I'm hoping this continues well after baby has arrived.

Just think though OP, there's a good chance your daughter will be facing disturbed nights with a crying newborn interrupting her sleep so she'll probably be desperate for a nap in the afternoon Grin
