I'm at my wits end with my 4 year old daughter, she's always been a fantastic sleeper from being a baby and even when we moved into our new home 7 months ago with my new partner it never bothered her she got me up for the toilet through the night but that was it apart from that she was sleeping 7-7 in her own room and bed with no problems however the past month has been hell I'm having to get up and put her back to bed around 10-15 times a night and it is draining for both of us , she screams the house down if I don't get out of bed to put her back, or the occasional nights where she only gets up once or twice she'll wake up at 4am and not go back to sleep even if I sit in her room, I never give in amd let her get in with us because I know that's what she wants, I know her dad lies in bed with her untill she falls asleep or if she gets up he'll just put her in his bed with him and she stays there 2 sometimes 3 nights a week I've tried talking to him about it but he just tells me what goes on in his house at bedtimes none of my business and refuses to change his habits he's also bought her a double bed so he can get in with her if needs be! I'm due a baby end of January aswell and I'm so worried about how I'm going to cope

I would co sleep. Sorry but I would, and have. She needs you, and you need sleep.

Do you think she's jealous of your new partner or maybe something else has upset her at school perhaps? You could do some digging and try to find out. My daughter used to do this sort of thing when she was worried about something. Otherwise maybe some bribery! Offer a treat if she stays in bed? Good luck.
