Sleepyhead grand

I was hoping for some advice here!
DD has always slept in a sleepyhead and is a good sleeper (thank god) this goes up to 8months but I've now had to unclip it at the bottom as she's long and it looks very snug, I feel it's time to purchase the grand, but the price 😮 Omg.
Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative ? I'm on mat leave and always Xmas is approaching and I could do without spending £165.

I second trying without it. DS slept in his sleepyhead every day for 6 months and loved it. By then he was enormous (he is a huge baby!) and rather than by the Grande we just tried him without it. He loves it and now rolls around the cot all night to his heart's content (and sleeps 7 - 6!)

I was going to try her without , but the other day she threw up in it mid afternoon (the only day I hadn't put a blanket on it) so I had to put it all in the wash and threw it in the dryer, still wasn't ready come bedtime. Put her to bed as normal and she just would not settle at all so stayed up until it was dry and then went straight to sleep in it.
I'm dreading spending £160

By 8 months would it be safe to make a fake sleepy head with rolled towels and a muslin? My friend showed me she had this in her pushchair.

I tried to McGyver a Sleepyhead Grande and it wasn't the same. I think because DS became much more active in the cot, it was subjected to a bit of a hammering. I was initially as resistant to the cost as you, but eventually coughed up and have no regrets. It's used every day, two naps and overnight so on a cost-per-use basis, it's winning. DS is 14mo now and likes to sleep across it, using the bolster as a pillow.

I have a feeling my purse (DP Wallet) will be lighter by the end of the week 😤 I am going to a baby show next week , wondering if it's worth holding off and seeing if anyone has offers on.

I thought mine was outgrowing it too but check out the Sleepyhead website and it says most people think they've outgrown but really havent, my DD likes to sleep with her legs either bent or sort of resting on top of the sleephead as I delay the inevitable and buy the next one, although you can sell them over for good money so maybe look at it as a rental till you can ebay it!! Honestly as my oldest baby woke every hour for 9 mths, and my new baby sleeps 7hrs in a Sleepyhead I would remortgage my house before going without one

Am thinking the same my DS terrible sleeper with reflux and cmpi sleepyhead saved our lives! However he's in it in middke of our bed as doesn't fit in his crib, when we tried him without he woke 4 times a night!!!

My 2 year old is still in a sleepyhead grand and I dread the day it has to go.

I got my Grande second hand on eBay for about half price. It's definitely worth checking there, plus local Facebook selling sites if you have any.

Could you ask family for christmas money towards it instead of them buying a present for lo?

9mo DS is still in his Grand. We all bloody love it. I honestly do not regret spending the money. He sleeps 6:30 - 6:30 and naps very well during the day in it. A friend has a two year old who is still in hers
