2 year old waking due to kicking off blankets...

Hi All

My 2 year old is now in a bed with duvet and pillow but is consistently waking up due to kicking the covers off. She's really struggled making the transition from Grobag to duvet. Any advice as to how we keep the covers on?!

Back in the grow bag. You can get ones with feet.

Can they pull them up themselves and using it as an excuse? I had to go into ds and say do it yourself, basically. That stopped it!

Go back in the grow bag.

We gave up with ours, he's now four and wears fleece sleepsuits and no covers.

No, she genuinely can't do it. I did seriously thinking about going back in the Grobag but it became a massive battle in the end getting her into it...

The gro company do a duvet that they get zipped into, it's expensive but could solve the problem. You could half of it zipped up so it looks like a normal cover once she is asleep zip up the rest!

Crickey, that could be the answer!!!!

They're great. If they're too long, just wrap them around the slats or side boards a bit. Much cheaper than the fancy duvet 😉

They make a larger size of Grobag, my DD, now 6, still struggles with the duvet and sometimes till uses the Grobag.

Is it a cot bed? Can you use a single duvet (not cot bed sized) widthways on so you can tuck it right under the mattress?

GeorgeTheThird · 21/08/2016 09:09

Just use a sheet over the duvet to hold it in place.

Second vote for jo jo duvet clips. They're great we've been using them for about a week with our 2.4 Dd who will also throw her duvet off in the night.

Thanks for the tips peeps. I've put her back in the Grobag for tonight, we're got suitcases under eyes so will see what happens and if it's a failure will go for the clips. Bit annoyed with myself putting her back in. Feel like I've taken a step back. Kids!!!!!!
