I'm wondering people's thoughts on co-sleeping is? As in baby in same bed?

I would say it's the same as anything else you may choose to do or not to with a baby - "never say never". I really wasn't comfortable doing it and fortunately, we've had 2 generally good sleepers, so never needed to. Plus both seem to actively dislike sleeping in our bed! However from the bad nights we have had, I can see that it would be a lifesaver for some. There have been times when I wished our DC would just come and sleep in with us, rather than us having to rock them for ages, or lie on the floor in their room until they dropped off. As long as you educate yourself how to minimise the risks, co-sleeping might be the best thing in certain situations.

I coslept with dc1, dc2 we did a mix of cosleeping and side cot. I preferred it when she slept in the side cot but snuggled her under my arm if she was restless.

Moved them into their own rooms at 6 months by starting off doing naps in there and then nights.

They both sleep 7-7 now and have never got out of bed to come in with us.

Currently have a 4 week old dc3 and we're doing much the same thing so hopefully we'll have the same results!!

Those that did co-sleep did you find it harder to get them to sleep in own bed when you were ready?

No, but we waited until dd was ready rather than imposing our own view of when she should sleep independently.
