DS2 has autism and is up for the day anytime from 4.30am. I have learnt to live with this - I go to bed early and we manage. This is not the problem. The problem is DD. She is 19 months - still in her cot and Grobag and regularly waking at around 1am - she cries until I give in and take her into my bed. I can't leave her to cry or it will wake DS2 and he will be up for the day. I need her to learn to sleep by herself all night - she used to be excellent but she is very insecure atm. DS2 is very bad with her - pushing, snatching, hitting. He also had a spate of jumping in her cot when he wakes in the early hours and I think she may be scared. Anyone with any advice please help.

Thanks.

stair gate on her bedroom door so he can't get in?

Any chance you can separate them for 4/5 days till you get dd's sleep sorted out - would ds go for sleep overs somewhere? Could dd go to g'parents for a couple of nights if they're close by? Perhaps you and dd could share a room, and ds and d/p(?) could share a room so they are separated, yet close by?

Sorry, can't think of any solutions but to try and get them apart so you can deal with dd's sleep.

hmm could sleep in her room and sort her out that way while ds2 sleeps with dh. worth considering, thanks for that.
