popsycal · 23/01/2007 12:09

very strict CC i am afraid. her cot is right next to my bed so couldnt do the softly softly approach. the first night was awful. it seemed she was awake all night, screaming at me. each time would just pay her back down, say sleep now, and go back to my bed and try and ignore her and go back to sleep. then she would do it again, and soi would do it again. i just didntget her out of the cot at all.

2nd night, same again, just keep doing it.

popsycal · 23/01/2007 12:15

how long did you leave her in between the settling thing?

misdee · 23/01/2007 12:17

bundle · 23/01/2007 12:20

bundle · 23/01/2007 12:20

doh
wrong thread

popsycal · 23/01/2007 12:20

no he is next door....

what i mean is, did you settle her, then go back to bed and leave her to cry or did you go back to her at regular intervals til she stopped crying and slept?

OP posts:
popsycal · 23/01/2007 12:21

lol at bundle

OP posts:
misdee · 23/01/2007 12:39

went back to bed and left her to cry. i was only dozing next to her. so i didnt time the intervals. she can see me from her cot anyway so she knows she wasnt being abandoned.

popsycal · 23/01/2007 12:43

thats what i need to decide then......
intervals
as he cant see me throught the wall....
he is fine if he knows i am at the dorr though

argh
why cant mine be one of those 'slept through from 6 weeks' types
!

misdee · 27/01/2007 09:46

well i figured out how she is getting into my bed at night.

she can climb outof the cot herself.
