Can someone help?

My 5 month old selpt thru until 12 weeks. But since her injections at 2,3,4 months she has been constantly waking up every hour or so (sometimes less). Sometimes you give her a dummy and she fallls back, other times you have to pick her up. It may be just a coicidence....

To make matter worse, I think she is starting teething. last 2 nights I've had a gend total of about 5 hours sleep.

Someone sugggested Mediced. which I understand has a sleeping agent?!
She seems to have a constant cough/cold
Not sure if therei s a connection, but I am very tired ! added to this my wife (yes I'm a bloke !) has post natal depression

My DS didnt sleep for the first 5 months either and for no apparent reason. We tried everything from controlled crying, to different bed times, keeping him up, putting him down early, singing, cuddling, rocking, different rooms, ANY THING and EVERYTHING. But after a particularly bad night and me walking around the next day in floods of tears i rang the HV.
She told me to remove his dummy as he was associating this with having his milk and becoming confused. My DS is now 8 months old and from that night on, he has slept brilliantly. I know some people may not agree with this but i know how awful 5 months of constant crap nights sleep can be and i was willing to try anything. So perhaps try it. Get rid of the dummy, put her to bed and if she cries leave her for 5 mins then go back in touch/rub her tummy, say shh shh then leave, do this for as long as it takes and see what happens.
Also, dont pick her up... leave her... We also found about 2 months ago that my DS prefers to sleep on his front (he'll turn in the night). I hope this helps

Have you looked at the book 'the no cry sleep solution'. It has some good ideas especially if you can't face leaving your lo to cry. It is also really positive and supportive - just what you need! I'm currently going through the same with my 5 month old but things have certainly improved following the advice in the book.

problem is IsItChristmasYet, is if we leave her to cry it just get louder & louder.

Touching her tummy doesn't either......

I wish i had the answer but what i do know is that it doesnt go on forever (although it seems like it now). And when she starts to sleep better it'll all be forgotten... but i know its a total pain in the !

As i said in my original post, we did try a number of things first... give anything a go... just think it cant get any worse!
