I'm being eaten alive

Any advice welcomed
Am EBF my 2nd baby, he's 16 weeks. Didn't think I could produce a worse sleeper than DD but I have.
He goes down about 8pm (feeds to sleep on my bed and I leg it or sneak him into his crib next to the bed) wakes about 11pm when I bring him into bed. after this he will not return to his crib. As soon as he touches the crib mattress he lifts his legs and starts griping and crying until I take him back out.
Co sleeping is fine but he feeds up to 5/6 times a night. He's really unsettled, latches on and off as he pleases, and wakes fully around 5-6am.
I'm fed up, my nips are sore and my back is hurting.
AIBU to just want some baby free time? He feeds every 2-3 hours in the day. Won't take a dummy and rarely takes a bottle.
OH thinks I should switch to bottle of formula at bedtime but he comfort feeds to sleep.

I wondered about solids but I also think it's far too early to wean.
Maybe I should kick DD out of her cot bed and try him in there (But then will I just be getting up to feed him all night?)
Please help me! I'm losing the will here x

DS is exactly the same so bumping for you for advice!

Far too early to wean. Plus any solids you could give him will contain fewer calories than milk.

I would preserver with the bottle. Not with view to switch to formula, just because it means you can have a break every now and again when needed.

Likewise keep trying with the dummy because dummies are absolutely amazing independent no-cry sleep aids. It took a good 7 weeks of daily trying to get my DD to accept a dummy. Worth it in the end though.

I would go for a side-car cot. Buy a cheap cot and remove one side then butt it up to your bed. The extra space means you can cuddle up to baby and even BF while she is in the cot, and extract yourself into your own space in bed in between.

No real advice as I'm in a similar boat with my 15 week old DS - will only go in the bed nest if swaddled, dummy-ed, white-noised, very full and sleepy. And will NEVER go back down after the 1st night feed. Co-sleeping can be lovely and cosy, but like you I want my bed back! So following with interest
