Ah, I remember the days when the night before was courtesy of a bucketful of wine and a handsome young man... I've still got the handsome young man but he's only six months old (shares the same preference for pre-dawn partying though!). Does anyone have any top tips for surviving the day after a sleepless night, especially with a baby and a three-year-old. I'll try anything (well, almost anything

Bribery with DVDs. Someone to take charge of one or other (or both) for an hour while you nap.

Optimism!

Sadly DH in with the army in Afghanistan, as are most of the chaps round here, so everyone's in the same boat. I'm powering up the DVD player now though.....

Couldn't some mums pool resouces then? Take turns to babysit cum playdate for an hour or so?

Fab idea! We do lots of playing at other people's houses/going for tea etc but no one has suggested actually sorting it out so the mums (and the odd dad!) can have a complete break during the day.
