My ds (15weeks) used to have a very establised bedtime of 7.30pm and had done for the past 5/6 weeks. Over past few nights it has been 9.30pm before he will now go to bed. He seems completely exhausted and we are not doing anything different but he just seems to fight it for those extra 2 hours. He still wakes at same points in the night and still wants up at 7.00am. His naps during the day have not changed so am now bit worried he is not getting enough sleep. He does seem to be getting a bit of a cold and think his mouth is irritating him as constantly chewing his fingers and dribbling a lot. Could this be the reason for the fractious antics?

Know this will seem very trivial to most of you but am just a bit anxious he is going to end up completely exhausted and fractious!

Tia

hi, no solutions but same problem here.ds is 15 wks old in 3 days. drooling a lot and chewing fingers constantly.he went to bed at 10.00 pm last night and the night before inspite of being really tired. but as you said night awakenings and naps are pretty much unchanged. hope this is just a i5 week thing and hopefully shall soon pass.

hi, do you think your ds could be teething?

my 15 week old dd is chewing her fists, dribbling a lot and her sleeping patterns have changed (wakes up twice in the night now and used to be once only).

I've been told these are all the symptoms of teething.

am pretty certain it is teething yea. poor wee man is in bit of discomfort. not keen to give him a teething ring as scared he will knock himself out with it. any sugestions for something to ease his mouth?

It does sound like teething. Teething always disrupted dd's sleep pattern. Try a bit of baby bonjela (sp?)

I've been recommended to buy Ashton & Parsons infant powders, £2.99 from Boots. They're completely natural and OK to give to babies under 6 months. I've read the review on them on www.ciao.co.uk and they sound like a godsend so going out in a minute to buy some!!

thanks for the advice everyone. joorla i bought some ashton and parsons this afternoon although he went too bed without it and seems to have settled. think he may be starting to get back to normal now. wahey!
