Hi ladies, we have a 9 week old
DS and have recently put him upstairs to go to bed, in his moses, in our room, with the angelcare. Just wondering what to do with daytime naps? Usually straight after feeds? Bring the moses down or take him upstairs? I dont want to be too rigid with daytime as i want to be able yp go out to baby classes, shoppin, visiting etc, and also we take him for plenty walks as do our parents, its just really when we are home. Any thoughts? Thanks

SIDS recommendations say the baby should stay in the same room as you for the first 6 months, that includes daytime naps.

Many people carry the moses basket up and down stairs for night and daytime naps. Others don't bother.

Others use something else downstairs for daytime naps. I've always used a bouncy chair in the living room for daytime naps until longer naps develop around 5 months old.

Or if you have a full sized cot you could use that upstairs for daytime sleeps and the moses basket downstairs for daytime sleeps.

You could also use the pram for sleeps if out and about a lot.

That should say:

"Or if you have a full sized cot you could use that upstairs for daytime nighttime sleeps and the moses basket downstairs for daytime sleeps."

Our baby slept in the pram carry cot downstairs until she got too big for it. She slept in there in the day and at night before we went up to bed and we just kept the Moses basket upstairs all the time.
