Hi, I am currently pregnant with my 1st child, due in July. How old was everyone's baby when you first put the baby into a sleeping bag. I have heard that if you put a new born baby in a sleeping bag its dangerous. Any advice welcome

Assuming you don't have a tiny or premature baby, you can use from birth. There will be weight guide on the label confirming the minimum weight. So not age, more how big your baby is.

There is a reasonable chance that babies prefer the secure feeling of a swaddle for the first few weeks, but some go straight into sleeping bags.

Ds has only just started in his sleeping back, as he had run away sleep limbs and was swaddled. Hes 4 months. But if I could id of done straight away.

We swaddled from birth but changed to sleeping bag at about 8 weeks when she could kick her legs out of swaddle at night. She was waking up cold and at least she can't escape from sleeping bag....

You'll know when he's ready. Funny thing with all mine, at around 6 weeks they just seemed more robust and it was obvious they weren't going to sink inside it or anything. They are brilliant

We used ours from fairly early on probably about a week to two weeks old- 9lb 9 at birth so quite big and hated blankets covering her legs and would kick them off but then cry as she was cold!

My dd loves her sleeping bag, and I thought they were safer than blankets as the babe can't get down underneath. I started using one once her head wouldn't easily fit through the neck hole.
