Can I have my hour back ?

I have a 2.7 DS and DD 3 weeks. DS has always been an early bird like me and has been sleeping for 11-12 hours at night since dropping his nap about 2 months ago eg bed time 730 wake up 630-7. Since the clocks went back despite going to bed at 730-8 he is waking between 5-6 am does not seem sleepy and gets through the day. Although v. tired by 7pm. The baby is still feding twice in the night the second time around 5, so i end up stating my day at that time. I am coping by going to bed at 9pm (DH does the late feed). But I feel robbed, any ideas on getting ds to sleep longer again or is 10 hours enough at this age? 730 bedtime suits us as DH gets to see him before bed which he would n't if any earlier .

Trinity Rhino does dd have a nap in the morning ? previously been able to tweak things by limiting time /amount of daytime sleep unfortunately he does n't sleep anymore

Lots of sympathy. Us too, up at 5.30 since the clocks go back. No suggestions other than to write to your MP. The Local Government Association is backing the move not to change the hour in future. It will probably come in too late for us (and the Scots will be in trouble with dark mornings) but it may save 400 lives a year (kiddies and old people get run over at dusk with the earlier nights) and it will give overworked mothers more sleep. Ohhhhhhh, those words. More sleep. One day.

Hmm - know what you mean. DS finally started sleeping through to 6am about 2 weeks ago having woken up at 5am every morning since birth (he's now almost 9 months). Why he started doing this, I don't know. Nothing I had tried (late night feeds, leaving him to cry) made any difference. Now the clocks have gone back, he's back to being up at 5am although he is then going back to sleep after his bottle... Ugh! Am just hoping that he will get used to the different hours and start sleeping longer.
