We put DS in his own bedroom 4 nights ago, he's 7 and a half months. He has his bedtime bath at 7pm and is dressed and fed and in bed by around 7.30, he has always woke about 6am which I can cope with but since moving him he's waking earlier. The first night was 6am as usual but the last 3 have been 5.30, 4.45 and 5.15. He won't go back to sleep once he's woken Confused What can I do? I'm exhausted!

I'd love to know the answer to this as I'm having exactly the same problem with my six month old DD!

Unusually I'm looking forward to the clocks going forward, as that should help a bit Grin

When do they go forward? X

Mine does this sometimes, I just put her back in bed with me in the dark and don't interact, and she can either kick about or fall asleep. She always falls asleep.

29th i think - I know it doesn't help much atm - but this is a phase and will pass. Both mine went through stages where they woke at the back of 5. I worried whether they were waking with the cold so put them to bed with cardigans on. Not sure it made any difference tbh and this change month to month- one of mine also went through a phase of waking twice a night again!

I don't wanna start letting him in bed with us, he's never been in bed with us ever since he's been born, me and DP take turns of getting up each morning so it wouldn't be fair in the one who's lay in it is either if he didn't go back to sleep, ugh ???? x

Have you tried giving milk when she wakes, in the bedroom, lights out, no talking and then resettling for sleep? That worked with mine at that stage

Yeah but sometimes he's leaked his nappy and his clothes and blankets are wet (not always) so by the to time I've finished changing his clothes and bedding etc I'm wide awake and think I may as well just blinkin get up lol!
