Should I just leave him to try and settle?

DS 8 weeks old and am trying to settle him in his cot during the day. It all started so well when he was first born but as he got bigger he got sickier. So i let him fall asleep on the sofa on in his playpen in the front room or the car seat chair to keep him upright. Am now trying to get him to sleep in his cot during the day mainly so that when ds1 (4yrs) wants to play in the afternoon after nursery, I don't have to keep saying SSShhh. But he is always being sick and choking and is very windy despite having Infacol and producing massive burps. I place him down semi awake, but I know that he tries to sleep, bless him, but he either vomits, nearly chokes on it or is haunted by trapped wind. This is after a bottle about an hour later and he is kept upright till he needs his nap. Do I leave him to try and settle despite all this or do I continue to observe him in the front room asleep so he doesn't choke, vomit or scream with a trapped burp. Not sure what to do am at wits end during the day at the mo. He seems fine at night time though. Thank god for that eh!!!

I don't have the vomit problem (or any digestion problem - I think/hope) moosh, but your message is very similar in nature to the one I only just posted lunchtime nap problem

Yes thank heaven for nights! Most friends tell me I should count myself very lucky (and I do) but with a toddler, I fully appreciate that the daytime presents problems it didn't with the first
