Fighting sleep during the day

I have a 10 week old baby who we were at first treating for colic but now on gaviscon for suspected reflux. He is generally unsettled throughout the day but putting him down in Moses basket for naps has become a bit of an issue.

At night (in crib in our room) he goes down ok most of the time and murmurs himself off to sleep mostly without his dummy or uses dummy to comfort himself for about five mins before spitting it out and going to sleep.

During the day he has taken to not napping unless pushed in the pram or driven in the car seat. As soon as we arrive back at home he wakes up when the motion stops. We have a swing in the house that we have tried for him to nap in but he cries when put in it.

Last week after only previously having used the dummy at night I introduced it during the day too to see if it would help settle him. However he just spits it out and cries so I go and put it back in to no avail. I have tried picking him back up and rocking/patting to settle then putting back down but he just starts to cry again also placing my hand on his tummy and staying with him but this does not work either.

I am getting more and more exhausted with what feels like a constant battle of trying to settle him off to sleep in the house or walking the streets.

Please can anyone offer any advice or reassurance ? People keep telling me it will get better and I know that but at the minute it's just so hard when this cycle is going on all day! x

It will get better. DD was like this at that age. Worse actually as she wouldn't even go in a pram - I had to carry her everywhere in a sling and all naps were in that or, if at home, on me. Eventually she would go in pram and nod off in that if moving and then stay asleep in it when we stopped so I could wheel her back into the flat. Then eventually after that she napped in her cot. By 7ish months she was a champion napper, something I would absolutely not dreamed possible at the stage you're at.

10 weeks is still pretty tiny and I don't think there's much you can do other than continue to try things like stopping pram once she's asleep, etc.
