Anyone tried a Waldin bedside cot from Amazon?

One of these...

www.amazon.co.uk/WALDIN-Bedside-Co-Sleeper-adjustable-untreated/dp/B00BY2WVKU/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1424521799&sr=8-1&keywords=bedside+cot

Seems really good price and even the expensive ones get some bad reviews. Always uncertain when I can't find mention of something on Mumsnet though!

That looks great, and good value for money. I would buy it.

I bought a co-sleeper full sized cot for DC1 10 years ago and used it for DC2 and DC3. By the time DC4 came along I had to buy a new one and I couldn't find any co-sleeper full sized cots for her (she is nearly 5 months old), only co-sleeper cribs. I don't like cribs, too small, straight into big co-sleeper cot for mine.

What I've done is just bought a normal cot bed and taken one side off. Works fine. There's a gap between bed and cot, but I just run a large sheet over cot mattress and our mattress to bridge the gap.

The only thing I would miss in the Amazon one you linked to is that it isn't drop-side. When mine get to the mobile stage and are rolling in the night, I like to be able to put the side back on but have the side dropped low so that there is just a small, low barrier to stop the rolling into me, but not too high to make a full barrier. With that one, when you need to keep baby in the cot, you'll have to put the side up completely.

This in itself isn't terrible, just pointing it out. I think it may be countered by the fact that the amazon co-sleeper has a mattress which bridges the gap between your bed and cot - which I've not had and is great.

I like it. Not used it, but would buy it myself Smile

Thanks fatedestiny...it is only crib size but I reckon once they are at rolling stage I will likely be getting ready to move them to their own room in a full sized cot bed anyway. The intention here is to help me with the first 3-4 months. I didn't have one with first two DC and willing to try anything with this one to make the sleep deprivation more bearable!

I have this co-sleeper it's great as DD is right next to me. It's really sturdy and feels really well made, would definitely recommend it. DD is just over 5 months and still has plenty of room (and she's on the 98th centile so a big baby) so would definitely do until the recommended 6 month mark for being in your room.

Thank you dreaming...good to know someone has bought one and liked it. Think I will go for it!
