How do I get DD to wake up late?

DD (20 months) wakes up at 6am and I really need her to wake up at 7.30am or 8am.

I've tried putting her to bed late (as late at 9pm) but she still wakes up at 6am. It is dark at 6am and her room is generally quiet. The only strange thing is she only does this in the week days.

Anyone got any suggestions as to how I can get her to wake up late?

My 10 year old still wakes at 7.30am seven days a week, 365 days a year.

My 9 year old wakes at about 7am

My 5 year old wakes between 6am and 7am

They are just morning children. If they go to bed late all that happens is they are tired and grumpy the next day because they still get up at the same time. If I tried several late nights co-currently (like on holiday) all that happens is they get more and more tired because they always get up at the same time. So we just don't do late nights, like ever.

I think some children just get up early regardless.I'm now late forties and have never stayed in bed in a morning, anything from 5 o clock I'm itching to get on with the day. My dc are like dh who love to sleep late which means at weekends I can be up six hours before anyone surfaces....bliss Wink I think at 20 months you are unlikely to be able to get a little one to sleep later than their body clock wants tbh.

what time does your heating come on? Is this different on a weekday? Or is their different noises from your neighbours or the road? No idea how to change her waking time though.

I've never found an answer to this one, except everyone just go to bed earlier and get up at 6am.

Sorry, another one saying shift your day around to suit your LO's natural waking time.
DS1 is five, and his wake up time is still 5 something. But then DH gets up at 6 for work, so we have never made after 6 sleep time.

BUT, if she sleeps later at the weekend, what is different at that point in the week? Can you make the week days like a weekend, to try and trick her?
