when did you stop dream feeding?

18 week old DD settles about 6.30pm at night then I dreamfeed her at 10pm. She usually then goes through til 7am ish until her next feed (we do have night wakings but usually just for dummy or to chat/screech a bit).

She'll take 5-6oz on the dreamfeed but recently its started to wake her up and can take her a while to get back to sleep.

Am wondering if to stop the dreamfeed but am scared it will mess up the nights. We've only recently got to where she's sleeping through (it was pretty bad for a while) so I don't want to regress.

Wondering what other people did? Smile

We did til.about 16 weeks, then we had a week.of waking at about 4am, so used to just do a teeny 2.5/3oz bottle quickly then and back down, with a full feed at seven as usual. Think that only lasted about a week.or two.

DS is 6.5 months old, and we've just started cutting out his dreamfeed. He was having a 210ml bottle (don't know what that is in ounces, sorry!) and we're reducing it by 30ml every few nights. He's on solids now & eating loads, so I feel more confident cutting out night feeds.

Thanks both. May start reducing it slowly as you suggest Diryan because she takes a full bottle I think she is probably used to having a full stomach. Scared of cutting it out completely yet as we've only just got better with nights and I don't want to go backwards!

Ds is just 6 months and still has a df which I don't plan to stop until he's eating a good amount of solids in the day. He's actually begun to reduce what he takes since starting weaning. But, it doesn't wake him up so I see your dilemma.
