Put DS to bed early evening and they will be asleep in arms and as soon as touch cot start raging some consuling rubbing head and they generally will settle for couple hours though after midnight can be patternes of u settle them and then they wake up as you leaving room and start crying, raging. They do end up on our bed and fall asleep (gro-bag) we try transferring them back sometimes they seem to settle others they just get all worked up.

Should we be more brutal and not let them on the bed at all?

Im probably bad at letting DS sleep in bed trying to give DW some less disturbed sleep as my snoring can be bad.

I had this and the way I'm currently tackling it is not letting dd fall asleep on me but ensure she goes into the cot awake and I stay in the room while she self soothes. She is 8 months. Previous to this I was co sleeping and feeding every 40 minutes. We have done three nights and so far things are getting better.

To be honest, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

My first was like this. Eventually it all sorted itself out around 3 years old. My second is like this. I'm sure it'll resolve itself when he is bigger. Depends on how much you can cope with the broken sleep that comes through co-sleeping etc...

As a sleep consultant, I would suggest helping the baby fall asleep in the cot on his own instead. I'm not against bringing baby into bed at all, if that works for you, but the reason he's not staying in his cot asleep is because he's falling asleep in your arms.
