Sleep training specialist - recommendation needed

Can anyone recommend a sleep training specialist to come to Fulham and help me before I sell DD on eBay?

I have a 15 week old who is great at going to sleep for naps, but a total nightmare at bedtime. I am reaching the end of my teather and need to know whether there is anything else I can do to sort this out.

Sorry to hear you are finding things hard . Can totally sympathise with how you feel.

I read a book recently which recommended 'maternity nurses' for this kind of thing. They provide a range of post-natal care in your home depending on what you need and have lots of experience in getting babies to sleep.

The book mentioned a website called www.maternitynurse.co.uk. Not cheap I gather but like you I would sell my body for a night's sleep at the moment!

I had a wonderful maternity nurse who also does sleep training-if you CAT me I will send you her details.
Annmarieandlily is right-it isn't cheap but what price a good night's sleep?

Let her sleep with you/cuddle her to sleep/feed her to sleep/whatever it takes.
She's only small.
Sleep training not recommended for under six months, or even under 12 months some say.

Hi again Plibble. What sort of problems are you having at bedtime out of interest?

Plibble · 18/10/2006 22:51

Sorry- have been a bit remiss...

The problem was 3 hours of screaming every night from being put into cot until dreamfeed (or "shut her up feed" as it has come to be known) or collapsing from exhaustion.

Fabulously, just as I was about to get my ears amputated, she has grown out of it. Basically, I spend all day exhausting her and she collapses into bed relieved to be left alone at night. Long may it last!
