My children are early risers anyway but since summer hit with its light mornings they are up anywhere from 4am
what is the best way to blackout a window without blackout blinds ( my dd has a bay window and would cost a fortune to buy them) im not one hundred percent sure weather its the light or heat so dont want to fork out and find it no help
TIA

Black sugar paper would probably do it.

However, the Gro Anywhere blackout blind is pretty big, you could try that.

We are using tin foil stuck to the window with water spayed out of a spray bottle. Only drawback is it's dark in there all day unless you take the foil off but with this weather I'd have the blinds closed anyway.

Can you afford to add black out fabric, to the back of the current curtains?

Gro anywhere blackout blind is amazing - £20 on Amazon. Suction it on. It is huge so fits any window. Wouldn't be without ours when we go on holiday.

Easy 'blind' is to buy blackout material to fit size of window. Sew Velcro to 3 sides (not bottom) and stick other side of Velcro to window frame. Then you have an easy up/down blind around which the light cannot get in.
