Sleeping in jumparoo......

My lo is 6 months old and never naps and has never napped. Occasionally while out in the car or pram she'll have 10 mins but this isn't guaranteed. She sleeps fairly well at night, anywhere between 10 and 12 hours and wakes once for a feed but goes back down immediately afterwards.
We bought a jumparoo about 2 weeks ago and every time I put her in it she bounces for about 10 minutes and then falls asleep. She has slept for up to an hour and a half in there and I'm so grateful for the fact that she's having a nap that I don't move her. Being a natural worrier I'm now worried that this is a terrible habit (another in a long list) that we'll eventually have to break and that the angle her neck is at (which really doesn't look comfortable) will cause long term damage. My question is is it selfish to let her continue this or now that I know that she can nap and probably needs the sleep should I try sticking her in the cot and seeing if that works. When I've done this in the part she's screamed until I take her out and just won't sleep!

Do you think she likes the movement? Have you tried a bouncer for naps? While not the perfect napping place it's safe if you have one with a harness and more reclined than the jumperoo.

I've tried a bouncer and that's not worked. I do wonder if the bouncing makes her completely knackered and she just falls asleep. I'd always assumed that she was just one of these babies who doesn't need to sleep during the day.

I've seen MN advice to work on nap times first and then nap locations. Is there a pattern to when she falls asleep in the jumperoo or is it every time? Lunchtime is usually a common nap time so maybe try putting her down then? We still haven't cracked the napping in cot thing yet but DS does nap with me or DH on the sofa Smile

I'd worry about her hips if she's hanging in the jumperoo for too long. Have you tried a sling? Does sound mega cute though, make sure you let her have one last nap in it and take some photos!
