anyone used one of the monitors that has an alarm that goes off if baby hasn't moved in 20 seconds?

Hi Angela

I have used the Angelcare one for my ds who was 6wks prem and came home 3wks later weighing 3lbs 12oz needed it for reassurance!

Haven't really had any problems with it. Having said that we have had a couple of falso alarms when ds went into big cot if he curled up at one end the alarm couldn't feel the breathing! Didn't happen very often and I kinda felt even on the occasions it scared the life out of you at least you knew it worked.

Anything else just ask

Angela!

Thanks so much for your reply - my 4 month old has quite irregular breathing at night time which scares me and I need something to reassure me - where did you buy it from and if you don't mind me asking how much did it cost?

we too have an angelcare - it is as sensitive as it claims, but we use a sleep positioner or baby sleeping bag to stop baby 'wandering' off the sensor pad and setting the thing off!

Hi there

We bought ours from Argos and it was about £60.

The sleep positioner sounds like a great idea...wish someone had told me about one.

Just looked in the argos catalogue, they've got a different one in there now by tommee tippee it's £54.99.

Probably worth a look at.

Just done a google search for Angelcare one and they are still on sale also there might be some on ebay.

I would definitely recommend one especially if there have irregular breathing it puts your mind at rest so you can sleep rather than just worry and get up and check all night.

Hope it helps
Angela x
