Advice needed for 10month sleep regression

My DD has never been a great sleeper but has hit 10mo sleep regression. I think there might be some teething going on too but for the last few nights she's been awake from about 3am til c 6am.

I've tried rocking and nursing and she'll jump between calmly cuddling, fighting/crying and being over excited. I've tried nurofen/calpol in case it was teething pain to no avail. We tried bringing her in to cosleep but she just got overexcited.

I know this will pass but I'm nervous of developing any bad habits or associations for her. Two nights she's been so wired I brought her downstairs to kick it out for an hour until she was tired enough to go to sleep.

Should I keep her in her darkened nursery or is bringing her down a better idea? How long should I steel myself for such dreadful sleep? Has anyone been through the same? All advice (that doesn't tell me to use CC/CIO techniques) gratefully accepted.

TIA

I wouldn't start bringing her downstairs if I were you - she'll enjoy that too much and start to expect it if she wakes in the night.

It's very difficult to solve when they have these phases (mine had a phase like this of being awake ages in the night at 12-13 months). Give her a feed and some pain relief just incase then if you're happy for her to be in bed with you, stick her in the middle and just pretend to be asleep. You won't be, but she might get the idea after a little while.

To be honest, I used to give mine some pain relief and a drink then stick her back in her cot with a couple of safe toys. She' cry a bit/play a bit/faff around and shout then eventually go back to sleep. This got her back to sleep quicker than me intervening.
