Yes! <punches air> DS' sleep problems are in fact physical

DS is 2.8 and has always been an awful sleeper.

And friends and colleagues have always said we should be stricter with him and CIO or at the very least CC.

I hate going away with one set of friends cos I feel they criticise how we deal with DS (tho they no longer say anything)

Anyway, at first we put it down to reflux but that cleared up at 18 months and DS sleep improved but he still wakes several times a night.

We've tried various things but no luck.

Today we were told its cos his tonsils block his breathing and once they're out he will sleep better! We have to wait til October but an end is in sight!

His symptoms: sleep apnea, v loud snoring, sleeping with mouth open, sweating when asleep, bad breath, agitated sleep and lots of nightmares.

The ear, nose, throat specialist was lovely and so sympathetic! Much nicer than our GP who told me to leave DS to CIO

O glad you know what's wrong and it will get better. Know exactly how you feel as my DS was a terrible sleeper too and we were often told to do cc or CIO. For him it was tongue tie that was causing the problems.

Yes its quite a relief. Have received so much criticism fir 'pandering' to DS...

We did too. If you had tried cc it would have only taught him not to cry, which would be awful if his wakings were through pain or distress.
