How can I stop poo waking him up?

DS (6.5 months) has always been FAB sleeper - goes to bed about 6.45/7 and used to religiously go through to 7 at the earliest - this has now become 6am courtesy of big stinky nappy - can I change anything to stop his smelly early morning wake up call to get the extra hour back?

becca - ds did this around the same age.
We changed his tea to mainly carbohydrates.....he used to have mostly veg...and within a few days it sorted itself out.

My DS (12 wks) poos after each feed (about 3 times a night) and usually wakes up crying, or at least struggling to poo in his sleep. It means waking up to calm him as well as waking up to feed him.

I read something about this in Gina Ford's sleep book (am not a devotee but she has some good ideas...) like popsycal said, reduce veg and fruit and give more starchy food.

It might be that he's waking a bit earlier anyway because of the lighter mornings and pooing because he's awake. Did he used to poo at 7am?

Sometimes when I'm reading / writing these things I wonder how our kids would cringe when they're older if they knew how publicly we were discussing their intimate habits!

No, he never pooed with such regularity before - he did sometimes poo at 7 but would quite often wait until an hour or two later too - cant help but think its the introduction of protein but hey ho will have to just grin and bear it (and go to bed earlier)
