Help! 15 week old waking hourly

MY DD exclusively BF has never been a great sleeper but the last few weeks has really deteriorated. She has never been able to settle herself in moses basket or cot so she has always been put down asleep after feeding to sleep or rocking. (If put down awake even if quite sleepy she screams until picked up). We have a bed time routine and she goes to bed about 8pm. Previously she went 4-5 hours after bedtime and then about 3 hours the rest of the night. Now she does 3 hours at the start of the night and then wakes every 45mins- hour and will only settle if fed (often only for a few mins). I'm aware she doesn't need the milk that often but I can't settle her any other way. She's also got harder to put down asleep so it often takes several attempts (feeding a little each time) to get her back into the cot.

She ends up in bed with me just so I can nap while feeding but even with me still wakes this often. During the days she naps after being awake for around 2 hours in her buggy (doesn't need to be fed to sleep in daytime). What should/can I do? Has anyone else had a baby like this? I really feel like i can't function like this much longer. DH isn't always around due to work but when he is he can rock her to sleep sometimes.

Sorry for long post!

Mine is doing similar (20 wks) so watching with interest. She's been a great sleeper up until about 10 days ago. In hoping its a short lived 4 month sleep regression...

Hi Hallloumi
I'm afraid it sounds very much like 4 month sleep regression. The good news? It will pass, hang on in there. DD had it for 2 weeks between 16-18 weeks then reverted back to her normal sleeping pattern. During this time keep persevering with daytime naps for your LO to avoid over tiredness at night, and to give you some peace during the day (and energy for frequent wake ups). It is difficult but very often short-lived.

So hoping you are right thatdarncat in which case I might be at least half way through. I love your optimistic talk.

Can you have a 4 month sleep regression that starts younge than 3 months?!

Yep, started at 11 1/2 weeks here! Had a crazy 3 weeks then things improved.

Sleep regression. It started here at about 13 weeks. He's now 35 weeks... Just find a way to cope with it that works for you as a family - for us that has been in his cot until the first or second wake up and then Co sleep the rest of the night.

We are going through this too. It's very hard!
