Moving DD into her own room

Hello there,

DD PFB is fast approaching 6 months & will soon be too big for her bednest. It looks like it's time for her to move into her cotbed in her own room. Any tips on how to do this? (That may sound like a stupid question but she's a pretty good sleeper so I don't want to do anything that will upset this!) Also is it normal to feel quite sad about her moving into her own room? Many of my friends have had their babies in their own rooms asap (some as young as 10 weeks, they couldn't wait to get them out!) but I've really enjoyed waking up to her smiling little face every morning & feel really sad that the time is almost here for her to be on her own.

During the day time she tends to nap wherever we are, in her pram, on her play mat, on me. Some days she doesn't really nap at all but is then in bed quite early. Any advice much appreciated!

I would start by putting her down in her cotbed while you're pottering around upstairs, then try a daytime nap. If she seems ok with it you could see hownshe goes overnught but dont get rid of the bednest til she is ok in her room.

we popped the bednest into the cot fr the first night. Then,as she wasn't bothered, tried just the cot the next. noticed no difference in her sleep. The good thing is she almost always ends up in bed with me so still see her smiley face at 4 am Wink
