I don't know what's going on with my 16month old but he seems to not be able to get put himself back to sleep In the night. He's never sttn but when he does wake and have a moan normally he will go back off.
Now he wakes sometimes 3 hours after going off and will be awake crying/screaming sometimes just moaning/talking for up to 4 hours. It's ridiculous - I can't get him to settle back off and am up and down for hours. He's not hot/cold or hungry and I'm running out of ideas and considering cc next??!
Please help xx

That sounds like hard work, poor you! What is his routine like during the day? Just wondering if he is having enough fresh air and exercise? Or is he maybe having too much daytime sleep? How long has this been going on for? Hopefully it is just a weird phase that he will get over. My dd has gone through so many, and they always feel as if they will last for ever at the time.

Has around 1.5 hours in the day (after lunch) he's pretty active as he's walking so doesn't really stop unless put down. It's hard isn't it? :-(

Sorry, I haven't really got any helpful ideas :-( Hope someone else might. Is he distressed when he wakes? Is he crying in his sleep? If so it could be night terrors.

Ds did this for ages around 17 months. Still does it about once a fortnight tbh at 20 months.
Like yours has 1.5 hrs of daytime sleep. We can't work out a rhyme or reason. But one thing which has on some occasions helped him go back off is a bottle of water. We haven't really fed him at night since 7 months. He'd take about 8 oz then go back off.
