Any recommendations for cot mobiles?

I'm currently using a white noise app on my phone to help 8wk old DD get to sleep, and wondered whether a mobile that plays soft music or white noise might be a good plan so that she's got something to look at too. But then I wonder about over stimulating her?

She's currently in a bedside crib (the bednest hired from NCT) so it would have to be something that could attach to the head or foot, as the sides are fabric. They are mostly solid with just a single large hole near the top to use as a handle.

Or, I know lots of folk on MN rate Ewan the Sheep, any experience of using that?

Thanks

We have Ewan and love him! He can go everywhere with her so she settled at nursery / at mums / out and about much better. Dd is now 16months and still goes to bed with him. (Also I the harp music makes me go to sleep when listening to it over the monitor :) ) if you are already using white noise it would probably be an easy transition. Hth

Be careful with ones from mamas & papas. We were bought a lovely one which plays classical music but when you read the small print it says it's only good up to 5.5 months as the baby will in theory be able to prop themselves up on their hands and might strangle themselves in it.

What's the point in a mobile if you can't use it part five months? Considering they don't tend to go in s cot til around then. Bonkers.

The ewan sounds like a great idea, will look into that myself.

I think it would be good to get nor with a projector too, as well as music and toys going round. Something that projects stars or other stuff onto ceiling. Will keep baby entertained especially when older.

We have a bt baby monitor that projects stars and plays music - also nice and portable when staying away!
