15 weeks old and still not sleeping - your ideas please

DD is 15weeks old. She was slow to gain weight (bfed) so last week started with bottles in the day and bfeeding through the night - she gained a pound and a half this week so now I know that she is definately getting enough to eat. We were co-sleeping but I have moved her to the cot by our bed. She goes to sleep ok but this is a typical night:
bottle, bath, change, in sleeping bag, rest of bottle.
9.00 in bed
9.30 asleep
12.30 awake for about 1/2 hour bfeeding
1.00 - 3.00 asleep
3.00-3.30 bfeeding
3.50 awake again
4.00 - 5.00 asleep
5.00-5.15 bfeeding
5.30 - 6-6.30 asleep then up for the day.

I'm knackered. Do the nights myself as DH has to get up for work (he's in the spare room).
What would you do?
Should I give a bottle in the night? If so when?
Anyone with similar experiences - when did things improve?
I don't really want to do CC as suggested by health visitor as I'm worried about long term emotional consequences.

TIA xx

not what you want to hear, but 2 wakes between 9pm and 5am sounds good to me! she's only 15 weeks old. I'm not quite sure why people think their babies should be sleeping through by then but most babies don't sleep through until at least 17-18 weeks ime and some babies are still waking 3 times a night at 10 monthes (like ds was).

if it helps dd had a similar sleep pattern to what you describe and just naturally dropped the feeds. best thing is to minimise eye contact etc at night and just keep going really. a bottle won't make any difference. can you sleep more in the day?

ps did the hv advise you to bottle feed in the day? that might not be helping either as it goes although prob won't make any difference in the long run.

Decision to give formula was a very difficult one and made with the help of bfeeding counsellors and GP. DD was not putting on enough weight and was feeding every hour despite all the fantastic support I had. Was hoping to mix feed but wondering now if her difficulties settling are down to my dwindling milk supplies? Am happy that I bfed her for 3 months but may have to accept that I can't do both successfully.

Itsnoteasy..
could you express and do a bottle feed with that milk for the first night waking?

I am looking after a breast baby [8wks old] who has expressed bottles at 8pm about 5oz then sleep and another expressed feed at 11pm 2-3oz while she is basically asleep and she has been going thru to 5-6am, an expressed bottle 3oz and then breast at 8-9am, tho today she slept thru till 7.40am so had breast on waking.

I really don't think she has problems settling though. If you gave up recently you should have more than enough milk at night and it's not unusual for a 15 week old to wake 3 times a night.

in your position though I would also be tempted to express in the evenings, and to breastfeed first thing in the morning rather than in the night (because with both of mine I found that one to be the most successful feed). I don't think giving bottles instead of bfing in the night will help but it might help your sanity to rule out all possibilities. also that way you can hopefully keep breastfeeding for longer.

I was despairing until I read this thread. I, too, have a 15 week old who wakes a lot during the night - I am BFing (eg. 10.30pm feed, 2am feed, 4am feed, 7am feed)... the HV has said there is nothing much I can do...Apparently the LO might be having a 'growth spurt' and needs the extra feeds at this point.... I am trying to sleep when I can during the day (LO goes down for 40min to 1 hour at a time).... good luck

tbh that sounds totally normal. if you're worried about your supply then the more you feed her the more milk you will have
