What's your nap time routine and how long does it last?

And how long does it take for your LO to drift off? I need new ideas. Thanks in advance

How old is LO?
Mine are 2.6. They have one nap about 1pm for no more than 2 hours. Takes about 10 mins for them to drop off.
Baby DS is only 15 weeks. He has variable naps to fit with our day poor chap and sometimes takes ages to drop off as he's so tired. Yes I feel bad!

You must be busy! Hats off to you.
He has just turn 12 months. I still feed him to sleep for naps, but it's increasingly taking longer and longer for him to drop off. He sometimes sleeps in the car or buggy. We've had a good routine/schedule from sort of 3 months onwards and at the moment he still has two naps a day - 40min in the morning and roughly 1hrs in the afternoon after lunch. I'm in no hurry to move him to just one nap a day, but want to stop feeding him to sleep and want to find a good routine that will help him to relax enough to then be able to leave him to drop off. He's ok in the evenings, but our routine then takes 45min - he's asleep within 5min.

Ours are 15 months.

They dropped their morning nap at 14 months and now nap once a day from 12pm-2:30pm.

Instead of feeding him to sleep (tempting I know, I succumb with DS!), could you form a new little 'time to go to sleep' routine? If DDs are being awkward (frequently!) I will get their trousers off, pull ups on, fave teddy, and sit and have cuddle and story for 10 mins before nap. I say to them that lunch time is finished and before we do anymore playing we have a little nap. If they really resist I let them choose a little book to read in bed by themselves. Guaranteed they're asleep within 15 mins.
If he's transitional between 1-2 naps you could try not putting him down for morning nap, bring lunchtime forwards - the earliest I've done it is 11am - and see if he'll have a better block of sleep after lunch? I find the better they sleep in the daytime the better they sleep at night too.

I think he still needs two naps and 'asks' for his morning nap if I try and skip it. So for now I'll stick with it. It's always been clear when he's ready to drop a nap, so I'm going to be guided by him.
It's a suitable routine without the feed that I need. He's a very alert, active baby and really struggles to switch off. We've found the right routine in the evening and he settles himself in his cot, but it's finding the right routine for naps, without it taking too long so we don't run the risk of missing the window where he becomes overtired.

Mine is 13 months and has a morning nap around 9/10am depending on when he woke up, usually lasting for 1 hour.

He might have a nap at 3pm for 30/40mins but he skips it occasionally but then is very whiny all afternoon.
