Hi LO is now 1 and still wakes in the night for very little reason. Normally a drop of milk, dummy in and lay him back the right way he will go back off. He will do this 5 or 6 times a night. We've had 2 weeks of perfect sleeping from 7-6 in his little life so far and that was beginning of November so I know he can do it, but throw I'm teething, bronchitis and an ear infection and now things have all gone to pot again. He's been better know about 4 days and is happy as can be, puts him self to sleep at bed time and normally has one nap now at lunch time for around 1.5 hours. But just seems to wake and cry or shout out and unles I see to him he carries on (have 2 older kids in bed also)
What do I do? Sleep train him now he's older? Please advise as yet again we are back to being exhausted, falling out and having a very tired house, kids included.
I do all the obvious, make sure he's warm, full, quiet etc but no matter what I do nothing seems to make a difference xxx

I feel your pain also have an almost one year old who just doesn't really like sleeping much.

When he is waking does he cry? Or is it chatter and slight moaning? If the latter I would be inclined to leave him to settle himself back to sleep, for a few night this won't happen but eventually it will work.

With my dd unless there is proper crying I don't go in, I have had a horrendous time with sleep and now back to work exhaustion is not an option.

With the dummy, is he able to put it back in himself? I leave an extra dummy by dd's hand so if she wakes she grabs it and puts it in herself.

I also put her to bed in baby grow, fleece sleep suit and growbag with sheet over also socks on her feet. Her room is the smallest and it gets freezing middle of the night.
Could the waking for milk be habit? You could replace that for water instead. Or wheetabix before bed as a filler up.
