baby won't nap in cot!

Help!
My 4 month old will nap in her pram in the bedroom next to the cot no problem, but will NOT nap in the cot! I have tried putting her in it during wake times to make it a nice place to be, and she goes down no problem in it at night. I am going to try the No Cry idea of putting her in the pram but not rocking it next week to see if that works but any ideas welcome )
When I do put her in the cot to attempt a nap she is suddenly wide awake. She doesn't necessarily cry, but she is then not sleepy and will eventually get grouchy so I have to put her back in the pram, rock it, with a white noise app, and she is out like a light in 5 minutes!

Mine never went in the cot for a nap. The first as it was hard to get her to settle, and she settled better in her pram whilst out and about, the second one, in her pram as there was no time to put her down in her cot. My first one slept like a dream at night, really consistent and through the night very young. The second one was terrible at night. In guess what I am trying to say is, don't worry too much, if she sleeps somewhere other than the cot in the day, especially if she sleeps well at night. Later on you might be thankful that she does not have to sleep in her cot, as you will still be able to go out and do other things.

Mine would never do this either. I wish I'd known then, about baby sleep patterns. They are different from adults. Basically, babies in to sleep, then after about 10 minutes, they start to wake up. If anything is different - temperature, light, how they are laying - they are likely to wake. If they sense that everything is still the same as it was when they first dropped off, they are likely to stay asleep. They will then sleep for cycles of 45 minutes (ie they will sleep deeply for most of the 45 mins, then 'come up' into lighter sleep every 45 mins. The lighter sleep periods are when they are most likely to naturally wake, or when they will disturb easily.)

Depending on how much time you have / how awake you are, try looking at the below.

Sorry, that should have said, babies go to sleep (not in to sleep). Stupid predictive text.

Thanks guys, I will look at the links when I have some time,
I was just thinking that come January, the pram will become a stroller, then would she just nap in the stroller I wonder, and I just forget about the cot for now?
