How to co-sleep beyond six months when the bednest is too small?

Hi there,
Does anyone have advice on a co-sleeping bedside cot for aged six months and beyond? We've been using a bednest since DD was born, but she's got too big for it. I'd love for her to just sleep in our bed with us, but we all wake just each other up. I'd really like to find something like a bednest, just a bit bigger. Any suggestions appreciated!

There is a website called Ikea Hacks. They show you how to turn a standard ikea cot into a co sleeper! Google should find it or something similar. Might work if you have space!

Just get an ordinary cot and take the side off, then strap it to the side of your bed if you are worried about it moving.

I think the ikea gulliver cot is the one for this Smile

We have a Saplings Space Saver Cot with one side missing pushed up against the bed with a cellular blanket rolled up to bridge the gap. Be warned though, my LO is 7 months and has just started to migrate. He's not even crawling yet but I have been up after putting him to bed to find he's horizontal across the cot his head and shoulders on my bit of the bed! I fear his semi co-sleeping days are numbered!

thanks everyone I will investigate those. Beccadugs thanks I love the ikea hacks site! The Gulliver cot looks ideal since it's meant to be able to have a side removed- I was worried if I did that to a regular cot it might not be stable. Havingkittens is your Saplings cot still really stable with one side removed?

John Lewis also do cots that are designed to be stable with one side off.

We have a cosatto bedside cot. My SIL had a cheap ikea and then a cheap mothercare cot assembled with a side missing. TBH there is no difference in stability but about £100 difference in price!

We used a 2nd hand mother care cot without a side for months 4-8, put the side back on and moved her out of the room around 8 months. Co-sleeper cots seems like an incredible expensive unless you are planning to co-sleep until they are in a bed.
