4 month sleep regression going on and on...

My DD is 24 weeks. She was a brilliant sleeper as a newborn, slept through at 11 weeks.

Four months hit and I was up twice a night- fine I thought, this isn't too bad.

Now it's awful! She goes to bed fine but whenever she wakes for a feed be it 9/10/11 she will then take around two hours to resettle in her cot. She'll fall asleep but as soon as I put her down she wakes up and screams. This will go on for around 2 hours before she eventually will sleep only to wake for a feed 2 hours later.

We've got through the last few weeks by co sleeping which means she sleeps but I'm not a natural co sleeper and find I don't sleep well.

She also has a permanent bunged up nose at night at the moment and I think she's teething.

Any help or ideas?

Haven't made it clear, she doesn't scream for 2 hours! I pick her back up when she cries, get her back to sleep then put her down again.

Sorry no real answers here, but wanted to show solidarity. Our 4.5 month old is also going through the sleep regression day and night. So difficult to adjust to when she's been a brilliant sleeper previously. I'm just trying to stick to the usual methods of getting her to sleep so as not to introduce new sleep crutches (?if that's what they're called). I.e. Trying not to feed her to sleep or rock her. She's already very reliant on a few mls of Gripe Water to help her settle and find her thumb quickly - so don't want to intro any other sleep 'addictions'! So I suppose I'd be careful with introducing co-sleeping if you don't like it as she might continue to expect it.

Oh and I totally recommend the book 'Sleep Sense' by Megan Faure and someone else. They are qualified people who know what they're talking about (unlike so many other baby book authors).
