Is it possible to sleep safely with baby in sling?

Ds is 23.5weeks and a catnapper, I can only get him to sleep for longer than 30mins in the sling. As he is sleeping badly at night it would really help if I could sleep during his afternoon nap, I'm beginning to get a bit desperate as even when dh is around I can't leave ds with him while i sleep as he gets separation anxiety. So is it a safe option to sleep propped up in an armchair etc with him in the sling?

No, I wouldn't. Any chance you can both sleep on your bed?

And I would let him get used to DH, you're on a hiding to nothing there. Making your baby dependent on you alone is recipe for madness. 24 weeks is too early for separation anxiety proper, he just needs to get more familiar with his smell, noises, voice. Get DH to carry him round in the sling for a while.

No, really unsafe. Especially as you are so tired. DS1 was like this, it's so hard but he did start sleeping through at 6 months. Get DH to stick him in his pram and take him out for a couple of hours while you sleep.

He's six months, two hours without a feed will be fine.
