My 15 old DD is driving me mad! She's always been a good sleeper at night, only waking once or twice as a newborn and sleeping through the night (most nights) since 8 weeks. However in the last 10 days she's started waking again. She tosses and turns pretty violently and if we don't comfort her in time, she wakes herself up. She kicks her legs up in the air, turns her head from side to side and generally thrashes about. She makes a lot of noise (but doesnt cry) and will also reach into her mouth to pull her dummy out.
During these episodes she isn't exactly awake or asleep.
At first she was doing this once or twice a night, often at the same time. But now it's every 90mins. It's killing me and my husband and causing lots of rows.
e weird thing is, it doesnt seem like she's waking for a feed. When offered an expressed bottle (she's exclusively breasted) she doesnt want it. She will settle back to sleep fine without a feed but it still takes up to 40mins to get her back to sleep.
Has anyone experienced this? I desperately need advice as I feel at my wits end. If she was hungry I could understand the waking, and solve it early. But this unexplained stirring is awful :-(
Help!! Xx
