Breaking the feed to sleep gently

So my dd2 is 13 weeks and feed to sleep. Usually takes me about an hour to get her down as every time she is off the boob she wakes also has gas issues because of being feed to sleep.
I want to help her learn to self settle with no crying with ds1 we used Elizabeth pantley method but it took about 5 weeks!
Wondering if anyone has used any other techniques successfully that maybe didn't take as long.

I don't have any solutions but have a 13 wo DS and precisely the same issue (with silent reflux rather than gas complicating things). So, my sympathies and I will also be keen to hear of any clever strategies! I have a white noise app on my phone and use a dummy as required, and both can help DS go back to sleep if he wakes up before ready, accompanied by lots of shushing and a hand over his face, often stroking the sides of his nose to encourage him to close his eyes. But all these solutions don't always work and I feel he is VERY far from being ready to go down in his cot sleepy but awake (and this is creating all sorts of challenges for us).
