7 week old DD so noisy at night

Since last Wednesday DD has gotten so noisy! We co-sleep and I'd just gotten used to the grunts but this is new. It's almost like an "eh" sound and she moves her arms and pulls her legs up. If she's on her side she also arches back (which I've read is a sign of reflux but she doesn't have ant other symptoms)

She doesn't seem to be in pain and I actually think she's sleeping through this. It's quite warm here (Ireland, so warm is 22 degrees) but she's on my side of the bed with just the cellular blanket over her.

She doesn't poo during the night but usually does a big one - or series of ones - just after we change her so wondering if her tummy might be bothering her.

Or it could all be normal? Basically I'm clueless - anyone?

Hi there, my LO has reflux and does a lot of back arching but you can also see she's suffering from the acid in her throat as she sticks her tongue out and writhes about. She's constipated from the Gaviscon we give her, and she pulls her legs up and strains to try to pass a bowel movement. It sounds like your little one is doing the same, though if they are passing bowel movements in the morning and doesn't seem in any pain, this is probably all fine. My LO makes endless grunts, snorts etc through the night - I find myself awake just worrying about what's wrong. I'd monitor her/his bowel movements and check if there are any solid bits in there, just in case of constipation but it sounds like your LO is just busy digesting and expelling her food!

Sounds like DD might just be a noisy baby! She does stick her tongue out but is usually smiling when she does it!
